Release 2.8.3 included the following changes:

FEA Changes
--------------
Added safeguards to check for problems during random vibe analysis caused by excessively steep segments defined in the PSD profile.

Fixed a problem with element assignments in the FEA model.

Stackup Changes
-------------------
Added the “Resin Material” property for conductor layers to allow users to specify the type of resin used in each PCB conductor layer. Users may also specify one or more material usages in the “material.csv” data file to indicate the materials to be included in the choice lists for leads, pad and conductor layers. See the “User Data Files” tutorial for details.

ODB Changes
---------------
Fixed a parsing problem that prevented the ODB outline from being processed properly.

Added support for arc segments defined in ODB XML files.

Ignore drill and signal documentation layers defined outside of the “BOARD” context in ODB archives.

Design File Changes
---------------------
Modified the IPC NetList file parser to handle files that contain additional characters beyond column 72 on header lines, such as the header line numbers appended by Allegro.

GUI Changes
--------------
The zoom-to-fit feature in the Layer Viewer has been modified to consider the location and size of all mount points, fixtures, test points and cutouts when determining the overall size to be displayed. The zoom limit has also been changed to allow users to zoom out by a factor of 16.

The Board Outline editor has been modified to display an error message and highlight the problem area on the outline if the outline has self-intersecting line segments to aid users when trouble-shooting outline problems caused by design files or inadvertent user actions.

Added safeguards to prevent users from entering project names and/or circuit card names that contain characters, such as “>” and “/”, that cannot be used in folder names.
