I have for the most part enjoyed the newly added feature in the V 5.0.1 release
which allows leads to be displayed on the layer viewer

However, there appears to be some bugs

I few times when I have made updates to components in the parts list
and subsequently hit the update layers button some strange things occur

Many components' Lead Layout parameter get reset to Single (if they are SMT components), or SIP (if they are TH components)

I had to go through all those components again and set them to what they were characterized as before (DIP, Dual Long, Axial, etc.)
These components were already confirmed and added to my library as well

Please let me know if I am doing something incorrect or if this is in fact a bug

Thank you in advance

RJ

After some further experimentation
I think that the culprit may actually be when you update multiple components at once
After updating the solder stencil thickness for multiple components the lead modeling got reset for those componets

I have attempted many different ways to reproduce these symptoms, but have so far been unsuccessful. I'll follow-up offline to get some additional data to help track this down.

This is a defect when editing multiple parts at once where the lead layout of those parts being edited varies. This will be fixed in the next Sherlock release.
