When modeling small supports in the housing (i.e., ribs), it is best to model then as support pins rather than a mount pad because the support pin will allow for rotation (which occurs in the real world), while a mount pad will constrain rotation.

Use of a mount pad instead of a support may increase the natural frequency above actual.
