QFP with exposed pad

Post by VTiederle » 30 Sep 2014, 10:59

In a project there are power components in QFP package with exposed pad for thermal management.
In Sherlock there is no possibility to define a flag for QFP package.
What is your recommendation how to handle it?

Hi Viktor,

For the power qfp package we ignore the center pad. It is typically small enough that it doesn't impact the CTE along the diagonal of the part.

Best regards,
Nathan
