Boards with thousands of components

Some boards can have +5,000 components and +20,000 holes. Using the filter function it is possible top ignore some components in the FEA meshing scheme and still calculate some of the performance parameters based on the board behavior at the component location.

It's important to remember that Sherlock does *not* need to include a specific part in the FEA model in order to predict the reliability of that part. That is, Sherlock automatically determines appropriate strain values for each part in the Parts List regardless of which parts were used in the FEA model. This allows uses to filter out small parts, like chip resistors, to reduce FEA run times, while still predicting their reliability based on the strain results.
