Hi,

I have a project with the effective Young' Modulus (Exy) is ~ 36GPa according the Sherlock. I'm using Sherlock's input data for the commercial laminate. The data sheet for the laminate specifies the Young's modulus to be 25.8 GPa and 21.9 GPa for warp and weft respectively. Accounting for the copper theoretically I can't get to 36 GPa effective Young's modulus. For a different stack-up of the same material I have Young's Modulus test data averaging around 23 GPa. Clearly test data is dependent on glass content, resin content, etc. Are other users seeing the same difference?

Hi Brian,

It's interesting that Sherlock produced such a high Young's Modulus (Exy) when the data sheet specified values, 25.8 GPa and 21.9 GPa. Were there any developments after this post? Please let me know if this discrepancy continued.
